Winding Tools
We offer several styles of winders: manual and
electric, single ended and double ended.
 Our single ended bobbin winder has a tapered
shaft that will accommodate bobbins up to six inches long. It is available with our manual
bobbin winder only. Double ended winders can be used for longer bobbins, pirns, and
spools. They are available both in electric and manual models. Both of our
double-ended manual and electric winders are available with special tips for winding lace
bobbins. Conversion kits are available.

 Swifts
and Ball Winders
A swift is used to hold a skein of yarn. You simply unfold the skein, slip it over
the swift and push the swift open. It unwinds as you make balls or measure a warp. We have
two swifts, the smaller one is made of plastic and metal and will hold skeins up to one
pound and sixty inches in circumference. Our larger, wooden swift is a traditional
Scandinavian style. It holds skeins up to two pounds and
100" in circumference.
 Goko Yarn Swift
Another way to unwind! This traditional Japanese swift spins easily on
its wooden base. Holds up to 8 ounce skeins. Adjustable for
skeins with 55" to 63" circumference.

ball
winder is one of the necessary tools
for anyone working with yarn. Any yarn can be quickly made into a center-pull ball
in minutes. The built-in clamp fits easily onto a table or shelf.
