Spinning Wheel Flyer Won't Turn

Dear Tabby,
Help, help, my flyer won’t turn. I’m totally at a loss of what to do.

Dear Suburbia,
Most likely the drive band is not over the whorl or the drive band is too loose.

Make sure the drive band is positioned correctly in the whorl and tighten the drive band.

Also, if it has been a while since you changed your drive band, you might need a new one. Cotton and poly drive bands stretch over time and should be replaced regularly—how often depends on how much you spin.
